On Nov. 11, I will take time out of my nationwide journey to join the Maguindanao farmers of Barangay Layug, Pagalungan, Maguindanao in harvesting the vegetables that they planted during the season-long BARMM Vegetable Derby initiated by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) with the support of several seed companies, the Local Government of Layug and Pagalungan and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Government.
While I am no longer officially connected with MinDA, I will join the ceremonies because I promised the farmers that I would come back one day to witness the success of their program.
Farmers with the best produce will be cited along with the seed companies who provided the seeds, inputs and technical assistance.
