Last year, the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) assisted the vegetable farmers of the towns of Impasugong, Talakag, Sumilao and Lantapan (IMTASULA) by staging the season-long Mindanao Vegetable Derby.
It was aimed at introducing new farming technology and linking farmers to seeds and inputs supplier.
Most of all, MinDA wanted to facilitate the access of farmers to direct buyers of their products.
Yesterday, the advocacy yielded results as a group from.Metro Manila forged a supply agreement of 16-Tons of organic vegetables per week.
This is just the beginning of bigger things, according to NOAB Director Renato dela Crux who facilitated the marketing agreement.
