MinDA Tienda in Baguio! Introducing MinDA Beef From Pineapple-Fed Cows

Beef from cattle fattened with organic feeds including Pineapple peels and pulps will be among the products from Mindanao which will be introduced in Baguio City during the 2-day MinDA Tienda in the Cordillera set Nov. 14 to 15.
The Adelaide River Farms based in Polomolok, South Cotabato which acquires cattle from Mindanao farmers to be fattened in a facility for 100 days will be introducing their specialty products for the first time in Baguio City through the MinDA Tienda.
Arnel Corpuz, a former Overseas Filipino Worker who managed a 30,000-head Wagyu Farm in Australia and who now runs the Adelaide River Farms with his partner Paul Alcoreza, said that among the products that they will introduce to the market are:
– Beef Bulgogi @P255 per pack
– Burger Patty @P180 per pack
– Beef Tapa @P250 per pack
– Chili con Carne @P250/pack
– Osso Buco @P160 per pack
– Beef ribs @P165 per pack
– Papaitan Mix @P70 per pack
– Tbone @P275 per pack
– Beef Terderloin @P245/pack
The cattle fattening industry is making a comeback in Mindanao as modern technology on feed formulation is being introduced by Corpuz, a 2014 Bagong Bayani Awardee.
The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) is also promoting Sorghum farming in Mindanao to complement corn production and also silage production for ruminants.
