Mlang Airport Update!

Today, another batch of Central Mindanao Airport (CMA) landowners received their payment from the Department of Transportation (DOTr) facilitated by the Provincial Government of Cotabato through the Provincial Legal Office held at the Provincial Capitol Rooftop, Amas, Kidapawan City.
As of today, March 12, according to Governor Nancy A. Catamco out of 47 landowners 37 of them were already paid and signed the pertinent documents needed in order to proceed with the construction of the much-delayed government project.
She also added that construction of perimeter fence in the CMA is now on-going and it is also expected that additional P77M will be downloaded by DOTr for the construction of other amenities.
DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade expressed his support in completing the CMA project during the courtesy visit made by Gov. Catamco yesterday, March 11, 2020. He also assured Catamco that by December this year the airport will be fully operational and inaugurated.
In her message in front of landowners and media people today, the governor lauded the previous administrations for their efforts in preparing and securing necessary documents of the airport and emphasized that the success of the said project is not only because of her but a collaborative effort with the past provincial officials and officers. “My only wish and hope that this project will unite us, not divide us,” the governor said.
The governor also thanked the landowners for supporting the endeavors of the provincial government in making this dream project a reality.//pgo-idcd//
