PAL Express Inaugural Flight MinDA TO SHIP HALAL FOOD ON ZAMBO-KK MAIDEN FLIGHT

The Mindanao Development Authority intends to ship Mindanao produced Halal Food, including chevon, beef and mango during the inaugural flight of the PAL Express from Zamboanga City to Kota Kinabalu on March 30.

The agency is also organising an agri-trade delegation to explore other agricultural supply opportunities for Mindanao products, especially those coming from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

MinDA is now coordinating with the Philippine Airlines Express (PAL Express) management for the inaugural flight through its Corporate Communications Group headed by Carlo Carongoy.

Carongoy ealier messaged MinDA Chairman Sec. Manny Piñol thanking the agency for supporting the re-establishment of the air connectivity between Zamboanga and Kota Kinabalu.

MinDA will be arranging packaged tours between Mindanao and Sabah to sustain the air service.

The agency will also promote the shipment of goods like fruits to Sabah, including Halal food like goat meat and beef.

The Zamboanga-Kota Kinabalu air link is the second route opened by PAL in the BIMP-EAGA Area.

Earlier, PAL announced that it will also serve the Davao-Manado, North Sulawesi route which was earlier re-opened by Garuda Indonesia.
