In simple ceremonies at the Port of Lipata, Surigao City, we sent the caravan of trucks loaded with goods from Mindanao to Manila.
This is the Mindanao Development Authority’s attempt to link up the producers of Mindanao to the big market of Metro Manila even in the face of the COVID 19 restrictions.
For three days, from Oct. 23 to 25, products from Mindanao will be displayed beside the Manila City Hall courtesy of the City Government under Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso.
A business booth will be established to provide buyers and farmers a place to link up.
Soon, farmers and fishermen and other producers will be dealing directly with direct buyers instead of middlemen.
