On the way to Bukidnon from Zamboanga del Norte, the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) team dropped by Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte today to check on the work in the model village for the “Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa” Program.
The first unit of the 50 Quadruplex Housing for 200 families coming home to Lanao del Norte from Metro Manila is nearing completion.
The Kauswagan Model Balik Probinsya Village is one of the two in Mindanao which will ne established this year.
The other is in Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte which the MinDA team also visited yesterday.
When fully established, the Kauswagan Green Village will produce organic broiler chicken and vegetables.
Kauswagan Mayor Rommel Arnado said he expects the whole village to be ready for occupancy in three months as soon as the National Housing Authority turns over the funds for the housing units.
The first unit being constructed is funded by a private corporation, GN Power Kauswagan which also donated the 6.3-hectare area.
