Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) President and CEO Emmanuel Herbosa and MinDA Secretary Emmanuel MannyPiñol turned over a Php 6M calamity grants to the Provinces of Davao del Sur and Cotabato today during the MinDA – DBP Forum at MinDA Office, Sasa, Davao City.
Davao del Sur Governor Douglas Cagas said that the Php 3M assistance will be used for rehabilitation projects such as housing programs and land grants for the earthquake victims of the province.
Cotabato Province Board Member Onofre Respicio, representing Governor Nancy Catamco, also expressed his gratitude to DBP for the Php 3M financial assistance that will help facilitate the provincial government’s on-going rehabilitation and recovery programs in the hard-hit Municipality of Makilala.
Meanwhile, DBP thanked MinDA for the meaningful partnership established since 2018, in which development initiatives are now starting to materialize in different calamity and poverty-stricken communities in Mindanao.
On 21 March 2020, MinDA and DBP will visit the Municipality of Taraka in Lanao del Sur to finalize the loan assistance negotiation for the LGU’s proposed six (6) solar-powered irrigation system and agri-economic enterprise projects. #IntegratingMinDAnao
