The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) has engaged the expertise of two consultants to support its Fisheries and Livestock Industry Development Programs.
Former Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 11 Director Fatma Idris, who belongs to the Sama’ Tribe of Tawitawi, was engaged to assist MinDA in the Mindanao Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Program which aims to establish Fish Centers in 22 fishing grounds all over the region.
Idris retired last year from BFAR.
Outstanding Overseas Filipino Worker Arnel Corpuz, who worked in Wagyu Feedlots in Australia for 11 years, was tapped to help in boosting Mindanao’s Livestock Development Program.
Arnel now manages the Adelaide River Farm with his business partner Paul Alcoreza where they fatten 600 heads of Cattle.
Both consultants are now deeply engaged in the programs.
