“Broken City,” a movie about how greed and selfish political agenda destroyed a city which starred Russel Crowe, Mark Wahlberg and Catherine Zeta-Jones, could very well be a movie depicting the state of the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, North Cotabato.
Rallyists, believed to be backed up and supported by personalities and groups with sinister agenda, have padlocked the gates of the USM again affecting the studies of thousands of students who belong mostly to poor families.
This unrest started in January this year and with the opening of classes recently, it erupted again prompting parents of students and students themselves to appeal for help from no less than Pres. Aquino.
