Aerial Seeding, Fertilizing! Agri Aircraft Group Supports Rice, Sorghum Production

Several days after I posted a video showing an Agri-Drone spreading Sorghum seeds in a demonstration farm in San Vicente, Makilala, Cotabato, I received an offer for help from an Agricultural Aircraft Company based in Davao City.
Davao Aerowurkz Corp. under Capt. Albert “Bobot” Pingoy, brother of former South Cotabato Governor and Congressman Dodo Pinggoy, told me that his company has over a dozen of GPS-Guided Agricultural Aircrafts which could undertake aerial seeding of Rice and Sorghum for massive production.
The aircrafts could also do aerial spraying of fertilizer, both solid and liquid, and spraying of herbicides as well, Capt. Pinggoy told me.
The use small aircrafts in planting rice in vast areas is had already been done for so many years by companies involved in planting California Rice in the Sacramento Area in the U.S.
This allows faster sowing of pre-germinated Rice Seeds and also Sorghum in vast areas lowering the cost of production making the prices of these very important grains affordable.
In the Philippines, especially in Mindanao, small aircrafts had long been used by big pineapple and banana plantations in their spraying operations.
While the group which I and former Senator Ping Lacson established, the Southseas Agri-Aqua Ventures, Corp., is mainly involved in Sorghum production as the base of our Aquaculture projects later, we welcome the idea of supporting the Food Production Program of the country through modern technology..
Capt. Pinggoy and I agreed that when Sen. Lacson, who serves as chairman of SAAV Corp., and the team of American Sorghum experts will come to the plantation areas in Mindanao next month, his company will undertake a demonstration of the use of the small aircrafts in Sorghum seeding.
