The wedding of my daughter, Dr. Maria Krista, to her childhood sweetheart, Chito, bridged two generations — hers and mine.
I was pleasantly surprised by a number, which came right after the newly-weds arrived in a car that popped out of the stage, where the couple danced the Gang-nam Style craze.
But I also savored the beauty of the traditional wedding when I danced with my daughter.
Then she and her husband later danced and people started pinning peso bills on her gown and on his suit.
It was a simple wedding but a very memorable one for all of us who were present because it made everybody realize how much the world has changed.
