My Message to Promoter ‘IF THE REFEREE IS CHANGED THERE WILL BE NO TITLE FIGHT’

I am posting hereunder my email to South African Promoter Ayanda Matiti of Xaba Boxing of East London regarding the replacement of British referee Michael Alexander with a South African official:

“hello ayanda,

the ibo has informed me that the referee from England could not make it to the fight and he will be replaced by a south African referee.

I will not agree to this. I hope you will be able to resolve this problem because I will not allow my fighter to fight under these conditions.

we will stay in Johannesburg until after this issue is resolved. if it will not be resolved, I and my boxer will fly back to the Philippines immediately.
