Ibalik Ang NFA Rice!

The proposal of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. to allow the National Food Authority to publicly sell the rice it bought from local rice farmers is the right move to counter the manipulation of rice prices by the Rice Cartel.
Binibili ang palay ng magsasakang Pilipino ng P15 ang kilo tapos magbebenta sila ng imported na bigas ng P60 ang kilo.
Senate should amend the Rice Tariffication Law to allow NFA to make market interventions by selling NFA Rice at lower prices.
