Today, March 17, the family marks the birthday of our dear departed Nanay, Efigenia Coloquio Fantin-Piñol, and our eldest brother, Patricio.

Yes, Nanay gave birth to her first of 11 sons on her birthday.
Nanay left us two years ago after she was bedridden for almost 5 years because of Alzheimers.
In all of those years, it was the first born son, Pat, who took care of her.
Nonoy Pat, as we younger brothers respectfully address him, turns 71 today.
At his age, he is the epitome of a man who believes that physical fitness is the key to a happy life.
A former PC-SAF officer who is one of the few Filipino soldiers who graduated from the Royal Marines Commando course in England, he easily logs 100 kilometers at any given day on his bike.
He runs 5 to 10 kilometers on weekend and spends his time fully in the farm.
